[roc-info] OCAD training session 11/20, 7:15pm

To all interested mapmakers:
We are going to hold a training session to help people learn to use OCAD.   
Jim Russell will be leading the session with assistance from other ROC members 
(yet to be recruited) who have used ocad.   The session will be held at U of 
Rochester, see directions below.

Date: Thurs. 11/20/08, 7:15-9pm.

You should bring your own laptop if you have one...please note that ocad will 
not run on a Mac...you have to have Windows software so to run it on a Mac 
you need   Virtual PC or Parallels Desktop.   If you don't have a laptop you can 
still come and observe and share with someone else.

Any other information that will help us plan a worthwhile session:

Directions:
The room is Computer Studies Building 209. Park in Trustees Lot near 
the corner of Elmwood and Wilson Blvd. Go up path to Carlson Library 
and Computer Studies Building and enter through revolving doors. 209 
is on the right past the elevators. Parking fees are required until 7 
PM, so it might be better to start at 7:15 to be safe.
