ROC's 2010 Club series is coming to a close, but not without the usual close
competition!

Less than 3 points separate three different competitors on the top of the
Women's Open classification. Linda Kohn holds a one and a half point lead
over Lindsay Worner, while Stina Bridgman sits back another point. Each of
the women has a high score in at least one of the five races so far.
Lindsay and Stina could trade up with a great finish at the Rotary meet, so
all we can do is cheer each of them on and see who does well.

Sergey Dobretsov has build a solid 6 point lead in the Men's Open
classification with some terrific finishes. Rob Holmes and Steve Tylock
probably can't trade off their slower finishes to move up too much higher.
Rob Holmes and Pavel Korniliev could make a run for it with a spectacular
finish at Rotary - they sit well positioned with only three races completed
so far.

Competing in every event, Pete Dady has built a sizable lead in the Men's
45+ classification. With only three races completed so far due to a mixup at
Rattlesnake, Dick Detwiler needs one big race to push for the top position.
Larry Zygo appears to be fighting for second place.

Three women each have three races completed in the Women's 35+
classification, and so the top place is likely going to go the one that
races best at Rotary. Dayle Lavine, Kimberly McGann, and Carolyn Orr will
settle it then.

Bob Bundy appears to have a new strategy to put some distance between
himself and Richard Burgey in this year's Men's 65+ classification - race
often, and race fast. Bob has one more race than Richard, but it was an
incredible 15 point effort at Mendon early in the season. That might just
be enough to do it, but I'm not willing to go on record saying that this is
a done deal!-) Rick Lavine appears to be competing for second place.

Kathy Bannister found a little bit of trouble at the recent Mendon Ponds
event, but has the Women's 55+ category locked up - congratulations Kathy!

Putting in several nice events, Tim Dobretsov (M12-), Reisa Cassano (F12-),
and Zachary Lyons (M16-) have all secured first place in their
classifications.

We'll see you out at the Rotary event where the rest will be decided!
