Greetings orienteers!
Do you feel nervous about attending an orienteering meet, or feel you’d like to understand orienteering maps better? Would you like to have some guidance and have questions answered by experienced orienteers? This Saturday morning we are holding a session for you at Fleet Feet Sports at the Armory on Culver Road from 10-noon. We start with a presentation that explains the rudiments of O-maps and symbols, do a little compass practice to orient the map and then head across the road to Cobb’s Hill to do some short practice courses. This class is free and family-friendly for children 10 and up with an adult. We only offer this workshop once a season. We hope you’ll join us, and encourage friends who might be interested.

We do ask that you register on our website today at roc.us.orienteering.org <http://roc.us.orienteering.org/>. Click on the event in the upper left hand corner of the screen to register for this event. For more information you can email us at contact at roc.us.orienteering.org <mailto:contact at roc.us.orienteering.org>.

We hope to see you there!
Laurie Hunt,
Workshop Coordinator
