2009 Ski Orienteering Club Championships
*March 1, 2009*

SKI ORIENTEERING CLUB* CHAMPIONSHIPS
Sunday, March 1, 2009
Saratoga Biathlon and Competition Center
Day, N Y
Registration and Starts between 1 and 2 PM.  Entry fee $10; $5 for those
who competed in a NYSSRA Championship Event Earlier in the Weekend.

INDIVIDUAL TIMES
All participants will compete against the clock individually.  Courses
with be short, sprint distances with a 90 minute time limit.

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP
Upon registering all individuals will provide a club name... either a
chartered orienteering club or a local NYSSRA Club.  The Club
Championship winners will be determined by club or team that accumulates
the most points during the event:  one point for every club member who
at registration declares his club membership and goes on to complete the
course in his/her age group; one additional point for each unique age
group class in which the club has finishers.  In addition if a
participant from your club places first in her/his age group your club
gains 3 points; 2 points for second place and one point for third place
age group finish.  Groups include male and female youth (13 and under),
scholastic (high school), open (under 40), masters (40 to 55), grand
masters (over 55).

PRE-REGISTRATION is required by February 25 to assure you have a
pre-printed map on your age group class' course.  Register by e-mail or
phone to Eric Hamilton ejh.bkh at juno.com  518-383-8565.

DIRECTIONS
 From Saratoga, take Route 9N north towards Corinth. Take a left onto
Mosher Road (marked with a sign that says, 'Great Sacandaga Lake').
Mosher Road becomes West Mountain Road, then bear left (over six miles
from Rt 9N) on South Shore Road. Follow South Shore Road one mile to a
dirt driveway on the left. Saratoga Biathlon is a short distance up this
driveway.  From other directions use 3016 South Shore Road, Day, NY in
your favorite mapping software.
