[roc-info] Our first meet of the season is this Sunday!

Hi everyone!
Good news! It looks like we will not be having to break through any ice at
our annual Icebreaker! We will be offering a full range of courses from
beginner to advanced on Sunday at Camp Eastman at Durand Eastman Park. You
can start anytime between noon and 2 pm. The course closes at 3:30. Details
and course lengths are on our website and Facebook page.

We hope you will take a moment to go to roc.us.orienteering.org and
pre-register before Friday evening. This ensures that we have enough maps
and speeds the registration process on site. It also saves you $1 on most
courses. You do not have to pay until you arrive, and there's no need to
cancel your registration if you find you can't make it.

A special invitation to everyone who attended the beginner clinic. Don
Winslow will be there to help you get started on your course and give
instruction. He will give group instruction at 12:15, and there is always
someone willing to help if you arrive later. We have compasses to loan and
your SI-card rental is part of your entry fee.

The ticks are already out so please dress accordingly and check yourself
carefully when you get home. Prepare for mud in places on the course.

A gentle reminder if your membership is up for renewal! You can bring your
check to the meet or renew online. Your support helps pay for shelters and
the equipment that keeps our meets running smoothly.
