Orienteering at night?! Yes! We will be doing a 60 minute Score-O event with a mass start at 6pm from the Hazelwood Grove Lodge in Ellison Park. There will be 26 controls with reflectors scattered throughout the park with a range of technical difficulty so there will be something for everyone. Bring a flashlight and/or headlamp, and a way to keep track of your time. A late return brings severe point penalties!

When Rob Stevens, course setter, vetted the course last week, the park was extremely wet, especially along some of the trails and lowland grassy areas. All should wear good shoes or be prepared to get wet. No one should be crossing the creeks except by bridges. For those planning to snag all 26 controls, they should plan to run over 5.5km.

Registration is open now at roc.us.orienteering.org <http://roc.us.orienteering.org/>. Click on the event in the upper left corner of the screen. You can pay online or at the meet. Questions? Email us at contact at roc.us.orienteering.org <mailto:contact at roc.us.orienteering.org>
