Hi folks,

I'm planning to replace our ancient SI5 e-punches with something faster and
have been looking at the various options. Scarborough has the SIAC cards
on sale for $79, but that goes down to $62 each in quantity of 10 or more.
I'm getting 2, so if there were 8 others interested we could get a really
good deal.

You can read all the details at his website here:

While there are few O events using touch-free punching in the US so far,
these will work for both standard punch-in-the-box and touch-free modes.
The thing I especially like about this model punch is that it both flashes
and beeps for a few seconds after a successful punch.

Rick, Linda, Stina, Gary, Eric Smith, and I all got to try them out last
year at the ski-O champs so ask any of us for their opinion. I found the
beep really handy to confirm a successful punch when skiing on hard noisy
snow. My strategy was to hold it up to my ear briefly after passing each
flag. This worked very well and allowed me to keep my eyes on my skiing
and my map.

If you're interested in joining in a group purchase, send me a reply with
the color and quantity you'd like. I'm planning to order on Weds or Thurs
and then will bring them to the MTBO meet at Dryer Road next week.
