Update on the Regain from Tom R.  If you are not aware, the event called a
"Rogaine" is a marathon 24 hour extreme sort of event.  CNY has spearheaded
an event for years called the Regaine - with slightly different rules.You
can go out for portions of the 24 hours individually, or with a team.

Regaine Competing and Volunteering.


The Regaine is this weekend August 20-21.  There have been a few changes to
the event this week, but the most notable one is the change in start time
to 10:00AM on Saturday.


Competing: Most local competitors (not doing 24 hours) have the $15 a stage
option.  This may be the best deal anywhere since most Rogaines cost
$35-$50.  With that you can pick any stage length from 6 to 1 hour.  If you
haven't preregistered yet please do so very soon through the CNYO website.


Volunteering:  There are two areas that we need help with, food and control
pick up.

     - Base camp is open for camping for Friday and Saturday nights.

        The Kitchen is open from 2pm Saturday until about midnight and 4am
Sunday until about noon.  If you have someone in your family competing or
want to stay after your stage and help please let me know.

     - Control Pickup: Starting at 10AM Sunday, we could use as much help
as is offered.
